Merry Christmas!!!

Ok, I have to tell you…this was a great Christmas! It was our first time really doing the Christmas thing this year, now that Keira understands who Santa Clause is, and we had a great time. We didn’t have our Christmas tree up until Keira went to bed last night. So when she woke up this morning and saw the tree with the lights on…all she said was “Wow!” It was so adorable. Santa had brought her an art easel, which she went to first and wanted to start painting right away.

She also received a package of 10 cars and a car mat with streets, her first set of play dough, a book about dragons from a dear family friend, Ross, in England, a couple of outfits and a game.

We had some plastic candles with light bulbs sitting on a table at the end of the hall. Keira would keep going up to the candles and try to blow them out. It was pretty funny.

Eric made eggs, pancakes and bacon for breakfast and I made the ham dinner. We decided to stay home this year and it was a good decision. It was a blizzard for the first part of the day and the wind is blowing in another storm. Eric took the opportunity to shovel the walk and driveway when the sun came out for a short time this afternoon and Keira was out there with him playing in the snow. She loves playing in the snow and so we bought her a snow suite, which she wore for the first time today. It’s been a wonderful day for our family and we hope all of you had a special day with your families! Merry Christmas to all!!!

Hi there, Gina!

What a treat to see Keira with the Dragons book. I can hardly believe how quickly she is growing up, she's not at all a "baby" now.

And you had SNOW for Christmas! We were promised some, weeks ago, but ended up (here in Northumberland at least) with sunshine and it was above freezing all day and last night. Not the slightest hint of snow. Perhaps up the road in Scotland?

I hope you all have a splendid holiday season, and 2009. Much relieved to hear that Eric is gainfully employed again.

Keep warm, kids!

Love!

Ross
